Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Many of my students need movement breaks and options to sit or stand when completing their work. The standing desks will be an option for them to either stand or sit in my classroom which has other flexible seating options.

Fidgets , calming strips and chair bands benefit my students who have anxiety and need extra movement.

I want my students to feel that my classroom is a place that they can come to learn while also feeling comfortable.

I would like a standing desk for myself so that I can meet the students where they are. Whether they decide to stand or sit, I can pull my desk up to work with them one on one.
