My Project

Our 1st grade ICT class includes a diverse group of children, including general education students and those with disabilities. My co-teacher and I have been very creative while parallel teaching. However, when all subject areas utilize Google Slides, it becomes difficult. When we parallel teach, one of us is teaching in the far end of the classroom, using a small laptop to show slides. Whereas the other uses the SmartBoard. Many of our students struggle to see content due to the limitations of using a laptop screen. For many reasons, having the LG StandByMe digital touch screen in the classroom is essential for both students and teachers in an ICT classroom.

By using the LG Standby Me, we will be able to have 2 engaging lessons, as well as create a learning experience that promotes rigorous learning.

This portable tablet would allow us to utilize, not only when we are parallel teaching, but also during small group instruction. It will provide students with engaging and interactive presentations for all subject areas. With the touch screen technology, students can actively participate in discussions, group activities, and presentations by directly interacting with the screen. The LG StandByMe digital touch screen also allows for students to be engaged during instruction and motivates students to want to learn.

Thank you for considering our request. The use of technology is such an asset for our students education. By donating to our project it will provide all of our current students and future students an equal opportunity to access content in an engaging way and will allow our students to be more successful.
