This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students books of interest to build their home libraries that are empowering, relevant, mind stimulating, and fun like the "Dork Diaries" book set and folding benches to enjoy a new reading nook. During SSR time students will be able to enjoy snacks while reading as well.

My project will support students in building reading stamina while learning at school.

Students will have enough copies of books of interest to read and having these books in our class library from different authors will create a stampede to read during independent reading time.

The reading intervention class that I teach is for students that have an SRI lexile level that ranges from BR to 400. Some of my students are newcomers that speak Spanish or Arabic. Other students are native English speakers.
