My Project

My 8th-grade students are incredibly curious and eager to explore the world around them. They possess a unique blend of youthful idealism and growing independence, always ready to challenge assumptions and delve deeper into complex ideas.

This project aims to provide every student with their own copy of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." Having access to their own texts will empower them to:

Engage in deeper analysis: Students will be able to annotate, highlight, and independently explore the play's intricate language and themes.

Participate actively in discussions: Class discussions will be enriched as students can easily reference specific lines and passages.

Develop crucial literacy skills: Analyzing Shakespeare will enhance their reading comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking abilities.

Connect with timeless themes: This timeless story will help them explore universal themes of love, loss, and societal conflict, fostering empathy and understanding.

I believe that providing each student with their own copy of "Romeo and Juliet" will not only enhance their understanding of this classic play but also cultivate a lifelong appreciation for literature and the power of language.
