Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our current classroom rug is no longer in good condition; students sit and complete their assignments from the carpet. We try to create a safe, calming classroom to make students feel comfortable and welcome.

Currently we have some house plants, and we want to add tomatoes and other crops in the spring.

My ninth-grade students have expressed interest in learning how seeds grow from early in the Fall semester when we did the Neolithic Revolution. The plant pots will allow me to give them this hands-on experience and knowledge. We will need to keep the carpet clean and healthy for all students.
