My Project

I love how eager my students are to engage in hands-on agricultural learning. They take pride in caring for our school’s garden and poultry, developing essential skills in responsibility, sustainability, and food production. This project will provide them with the necessary tools to enhance their learning experience and better prepare them for the upcoming spring season.

We currently have a chicken run and coop that we purchased two years ago, but they were damaged by a storm.

A new chicken run will provide a secure and spacious environment for our poultry, ensuring their safety while allowing students to learn proper animal care and habitat management. The requested quail hutch will allow the birds to forage naturally, enriching their diet and encouraging more natural behaviors. Through this project, my goal is to equip students with real-world agricultural knowledge while fostering a deeper appreciation for where food comes from. By working with plants and animals, they will develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility that will benefit them beyond the classroom.

What makes my students special is their enthusiasm and dedication to learning through experience. Many of them are exploring agriculture for the first time, and this project will give them an opportunity to connect with nature, develop essential life skills, and gain confidence in their abilities. With your support, they can continue to grow—both academically and personally—while making a lasting impact on our school and community.
