This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Over the last two years, almost all of our middle school students have been directly impacted by COVID-19, whether as a son, daughter, friend, or peer in class to another student. In fact, most of our students haven't been in a standard face-to-face classroom in nearly 3 years. My primary focus in science this year, aside from having students rebuild relationships, is to focus on heat mitigation and sustainability. Our projects will be to help students to understand the impact of health, heat, climate change, and specifically what their generation can do to sustain our beautiful Earth!
