My Students

With our schools budget being tighter than ever before I am continually reaching to generous donors on the Donors Choose website. There is simply not enough funding to go around for our school and unfortunately the Physical Education budget had been dramatically reduced.

My students come from a variety of backgrounds.

Their ages range from 15 to 18 years. We are a Title 1 school which means that 50% of the student population does fall below the poverty line. My students are full of smiles and enjoy coming to our school. I absolutely love coming to work and seeing them, helping them along their way toward graduation.

My Project

The materials I have requested will be used by hundreds of students that visit my gym each school day. The equipment requested will enable maximum participation from my students. The Omnikin ball in particular will provide us with cooperative activities that teach cooperation and teamwork. The softballs and basketballs will allow for individual and larger group use. My students enjoy Omnikin ball based games a lot. Overall the requested materials will ensure participation and necessary materials for larger group classes to participate.

My project will make a difference in the level of the positive experience that my students will have this spring and the upcoming fall semester of 2014.

It will make a huge difference in the activities and games I can provide to my classes. The equipment will get used everyday every period that our gym is open or having scheduled classes.
