This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The "Spreading Kindness with Halloween Goodie Bags" project seeks to provide a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable Halloween experience for young children at a local park by offering thoughtfully curated Halloween goodie bags. These bags will be assembled by my students, fostering a spirit of giving and community engagement.

By providing Halloween goodie bags in a controlled, inclusive park environment, we can help children enjoy the holiday in a safe space, reducing the need for outdoor trick-or-treating, which can present various safety concerns.

Halloween can sometimes exclude children who are unable to participate in traditional celebrations. This event will ensure that all children, regardless of background, can enjoy the holiday through an inclusive community park-wide celebration.

My students will prepare and donate the goodie bags, learning the importance of community service, kindness, and empathy as they contribute to a meaningful cause for younger children.

The goodie bags will contain small, healthy snacks, non-edible items (stickers, coloring pages, etc.) to be mindful of allergies

Halloween-themed trinkets (mini toys, glow sticks, etc.) and candy and healthy snacks without nuts.

The "Spreading Kindness with Halloween Goodie Bags" project is a unique opportunity to combine the spirit of Halloween with the values of kindness, safety, and inclusivity. By supporting this initiative, you will help provide a memorable and secure celebration for young children, while empowering students to engage in acts of kindness that strengthen our community.
