This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students will be completing their state testing during the entire month of May. It is a very stressful and exhausting time for many students. They are exerting so much mental energy, so I would like my class to be a soft place to land. Having snacks available to them will help them relax and recover.

Since I am their student council and female leadership electives teacher, I would like my class to provide a relaxing environment after their full day of testing.

I will have a variety of art activities for students to choose from. One of the activities will be embroidery of the beautiful monarch butterfly. Hence the title, "Spread Your Wings and Relax!"
