My Students

Are you curious about the world around you? So are my students! They are enthralled by current events, science, and nature. My students need nonfiction texts to keep their curiosity up. They need exposure to current technologies and STEM education. Scholastic News and Science Spin magazine will help!

My students attend a Title I school, with about 40% of students receiving free or reduced lunch.

They come from many different backgrounds, representing several different cultures. My students love to learn and are excited about reading. I want to keep them engaged with fun nonfiction texts that leave them awestruck and excited to find out more!

My Project

Please consider donating to the project, Spread the News! My students need magazines that will engage them in current topics that are related to their life. They need to be exposed to current technologies and STEM education that will help develop their curiosity and lead them on a path to lifelong learning.

Your donations will ensure that every student in my class has their own copy of Scholastic News and Science Spin magazines.

My students will be able to read the magazines in guided reading groups, and then take them home to share what they have learned with their families. Many of my students do not have their own books at home, so a vivid magazine is a catalyst to promoting lifelong literacy and learning! Thank you for your support!
