This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our seventh grade students at NMSl are eager to learn. We are a Title I school, and we want to help our students get the best education possible no matter what mountain we have to climb. Please help us with this initiative. I know the students will greatly benefit from it and appreciate it.

My Project

Our students at NMS are not only learning about Ancient Civilizations, but also how to navigate through life as good citizens in the 21st Century. These students in grades 6 and 7 would benefit from relevant, real-life stories that will broaden their knowledge, expand their vocabulary, help strengthen their reading comprehension, and hopefully inspire them to learn more about their world. The students at our school are eager to learn and engage in high interest grade level text. They are working on active reading and writing strategies, and this resource will greatly assist in that endeavor.
