My Project

By including books and goody bags I will foster a love of reading, improve literacy skills, and expand students' vocabulary. For many students, books may not be easily accessible outside the classroom. This project encourages independent reading and building home-school connections. By integrating stories with themes like kindness, friendship, and love, students will learn important social-emotional skills that will help them navigate relationships both in and outside the classroom.

My goal is to create a memorable experience for them, filled with both emotional warmth and academic value.

This will not only lift their spirits but also reinforce the idea that they are capable, loved, and part of a supportive community. Small items like stickers, candy, or personalized notes create a positive emotional connection with learning. They give students something to look forward to, motivating them to participate in class activities and engage more deeply in their education.

My goal is to provide students with their own books that they can read independently or share with family, fostering a love of reading that extends beyond the classroom. I want them to see reading as both a valuable tool for learning and a source of enjoyment. Through the books and the goody bags, I aim to encourage kindness, empathy, and positive communication among students.

My students are unique in many ways. Despite these obstacles, they are resilient, curious, and eager to learn. They have big dreams and are developing the skills they need to shape their futures. What makes them special is their capacity for kindness, their willingness to help each other, and the joy they bring to the classroom every day. They are a group that thrives when they feel valued and supported, and moments like this Valentine's Day project give them the confidence and motivation to take on new challenges.
