Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 6 students who are in a low-income/high poverty school district. They have moderate to severe disabilities. I have one student with limited verbal abilities that require extra support. Most of them need sensory tools that can help. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.

Despite the many challenges they face, I want to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.My students are very creative and excited to learn new things.

With the appropriate support, we will be able to accomplish a lot together as a class family. With sensory needs, they require additional support to function better in the classroom.

My Project

Students will be able to use these supplies in the classroom to help curb the spread of the virus. We have a shortage of wipes and sanitizers at my school and my students need help with toiletry and Adaptive Daily Living Skills.

My students work but with limitations due to their disability.

My school is in a low- income community and so we depend on whatever is provided. Please help me keep my students safe during this rough time.

We are teaching students about washing their hands and these supplies will help us exercise caution as they learn.
