Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is an amazing place to be. It includes a large culturally and linguistically diverse group of amazing learners, which includes TK-5th grade levels. Our school environment is warm, welcoming, and student-friendly.

My project is all about promoting kindness.

Teaching students kindness will help them develop social-emotional skills that can help them succeed in school and life. The incentives charts and prizes (rubber ducks, stickers, keychains, toy cars, and water bottles) will motivate our students to make good choices to shape their behavior. Every successful step our students take will help them become more self-confident.

The resources will help our students become motivated to treat others with kindness by using the sticker chart to reward them for making good choices and for being kind to their peers. Once they fill their sticker chart, they will earn a prize. Promoting kindness will help students feel a sense of belonging at school, which will improve their motivation and confidence. Prompting kindness will also help students develop a more compassionate and empathetic perspective.
