My students and I are always looking for ways to spread kindness. Last year, we were able to create goody bags to share with classmates and students, even adults sometimes, if they were having a bad day. We gave bags to students who were upset about something, had a bad day, were going through something at home, etc. Its amazing how one little bag can spread so much joy!
Kindness bags are like a little hug that we give someone, it wraps around them and gives them some little reasons to smile.
For this project, we are asking for bags to hold the items and then small fidgets and toys, candy, and of course tissues. Students will help me create and fill the bags to have on hand and ready to go and give to others. One thing I noticed about this project last year, is how thankful students were when receiving or giving one. I hope to be able to do the same for my students this year.
