My Students

As an elementary teacher, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to coach my school's middle school volleyball team this fall. My biggest challenge as a first year coach is preparing for the season before the girls even set foot on the court. We are a 3K-8 grade school.

Our school was built before the decision of including middle school athletics.

We are thrilled to be able to provide clubs and athletics for our middle school students. I adore our community and students.

This is my second year coaching our volleyball team. Last season was fantastic! Our parents and cafeteria staff help to provide game day snacks and drinks. Our team’s knee pads were donated by amazing strangers through DonorsChoose.org. I am still overwhelmed with the support we received. This year I am trying to provide matching game day shorts for our girls so they do not have to pay out of pocket for part of their uniform.

My Project

I fully support our vision for E.P.T. which is: “to develop our student-athletes as young women through sports. We will do this by providing excellent coaching and instilling a love for sports in a safe and encouraging environment for all student-athletes. Our girls have matching game uniform shirts; however, they do not have game uniform shorts.

My girls need game day shorts to participate in our program.

If we are not able to find funding or a sponsor, then the girls will have to pay for their own shorts. I fear lack of funds will deter some of our female athletes from even trying out for the team.

Having a sports uniform is a great way to develop team spirit and encourages student-athletes to be organized and prepared for physical education and sports. By having game day uniforms, I hope that all student-athletes will experience the maximum benefit from our athletic program at E.P.T.
