My Students

Our student athletes are truly excited about fitness, sports, and health, as well as their classroom learning. They come from all over the world, many of whom have just moved to the country in the past year. They speak a plethora of different languages including, but not limited to, Spanish, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, French, and English. The socioeconomic statuses of our families are equally diverse.

Our student's diversity creates a global community where we celebrate our differences and learn from each other's experiences.

The campus climate is one of tolerance and understanding. Our students and their families choose our school. They value their education and futures and deserve only the best.

My Project

Our school is brand new and we have very little equipment. The variety of sports equipment I am requesting will allow our students to join sports teams coached by myself and community volunteers, which will benefit their minds and bodies. The equipment requested will make nine different team sports on our campus available, as well as provide myself the tools needed to properly train the students.

The equipment will positively impact students socially, academically, and physically through team sports.

Students will gain leadership skills, as well as how to work as a team. Sports at our school will provide opportunities for our students to be held accountable, demonstrate good sportsmanship, gain self-esteem and increase their desire to stay active and healthy. Our team players will gain self-confidence as their abilities expand using basketball, soccer, football, racquetball, volleyball, gymnastics, track and field, field hockey, baseball and training equipment. Many of these students, since they come from all over the world, are unfamiliar with some sports. This project will help students gain a greater global perspective and compete in a variety of sports that originate from all over the globe.

Coaching sports without equipment is like teaching without books. Our students need to learn in a classroom environment, as well outside. Team sports are necessary and desired in school communities, and our new school needs this equipment to cultivate our campus and create lifelong athletes.
