Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me provide my students at out school with the equipment they need to succeed as athletes and teammates. My colleague and I are thrilled to be launching the school’s first-ever soccer and basketball teams, but we need your help to make it happen!

Sports are not just games; they are opportunities to grow, connect, and achieve.

We want our students to feel a sense of belonging, accomplishment, and pride in themselves and their teams. Participating in organized sports will help them develop critical life skills like teamwork, resilience, and leadership—all while having fun and staying active.

Help us create a safe and organized environment for our teams, we need: Ball storage racks to securely hold basketballs and soccer balls during and after games. An electric ball pump to ensure our basketballs, soccer balls, and footballs are always game-ready. Additional equipment to enhance our practices and games, giving students the tools they need to play and grow.

With your support, we can provide students with brand-new, properly maintained equipment that will inspire them to participate, practice, and play like the stars they are. We as teachers spend a large amount of time with these children, they become our own. We share their vision and want to help them build up that drive, help achieve a dream or simply build unity through commonalities.

Our students are passionate about soccer and basketball, but they’ve been deprived of structured opportunities to play for too long. Being part of a team will help them build community, learn new skills, and the joy of working toward goals.Your contribution will help offer our students a chance to develop athletic skills, and belonging through teamwork.
