Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will foster the love of sports and the importance of teamwork. Students will have the opportunity to learn and retain real-life skills and adapt to their own lives both at school and at home. Being a member of a winning sports team will greatly enhance their social and emotional mental state and their confidence.

This project will build future leaders and motivators both on and off the sports court.

Players will have the best equipment available to them to foster growth and build a love for the game of basketball. The Items, such as basketballs, nets, and electric ball pumps will help players to strive athletically by equaling the playing field into an avenue that they would otherwise be completely shut out.

My students struggle every day with food inequality, housing shortage, and lack the proper nutrition to help them live a balanced life. Sports is the gateway to open doors for my students. By displaying their athletic abilities, they build resilience and learn to work as a team. They learn to take charge and also value their education a lot more.
