My Students

I am asking for assistance for both the Holmes Middle School and Holmes Varsity Swim Teams. These teams are made up of both boys and girls. These athletes come from an inner city school. Ninety-five percent of the students are receiving free or reduced price lunch. It is a struggle for them to have school supplies without adding the cost of items to be successful as a student/athletes. These athlete compete in at least a dozen swim meets each year

My Project

These duffle bags will allow my student/athletes to be able to stop carrying their personal items to both swim meets and practices in plastic grocery bags. These bags will also allow the student/athlete to have pride in both themselves and their school. This pride will have a positive affect with on these young boys and girls both on the pool deck,duffle as well as in the classroom with their academics. These student/athletes also complete a service learning project each year and give back to the community through their project. I am hoping with this project the community can give back to them
