Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the privilege of teaching a wonderful group of transitional kindergartners who are eager, curious, and full of potential. Every day, they come to class with an excitement for learning and discovering new things. At this age, hands-on learning is especially important because it engages their natural curiosity and allows them to explore concepts in a way that feels like play.

A water and sand table along with sensory toys would be a perfect tool for them to explore sensory play, problem-solving, and cooperative learning.

They can practice fine motor skills, work together to experiment with different materials, and gain early exposure to scientific concepts like buoyancy and displacement—all through interactive, hands-on activities.

More than just a fun tool, a water and sand table would enrich their learning experiences and encourage social development as they work together to explore and experiment. These children deserve every opportunity to learn in an environment that fosters creativity and growth, and I believe that this water and sand table along with sensory toys would be a perfect addition to help them thrive.
