This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a teacher in a school that services students who come from low income, working-class families that live in or close to one of Los Angeles' low income housing complexes.

My students are some of the most creative 1st graders you will ever meet.

They are smart, enthusiastic learners who enjoy learning and listening to stories read to them. They love to come to school to absorb as much knowledge as possible to help them prepare for their future.

My Project

I recently bought myself a cricut machine and the heat transfer to make shirts and other fun personalized items. I love how easily I can make shirts but don't love the cost of the vinyl. I would love to make a variety of shirts for my students. I already have in mind different shirts I want to make to make them feel special, united and to help motivate them. I want to make school spirit shirts. Our school is college aware, each class represents a particular college so I would also like to make college shirts. I want to make perfect attendance shirts to motivate our attendance. I also have in mind making end of the year shirts for those that meet the number of high frequency words set at the beginning of the year. I need help in purchasing vinyl to make the shirts for all of my students. Thank you for taking the time to read this project.
