Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These items will be used for our Spirit Days, Assemblies, and Team-Building. Students with high school spirit are likelier to perform well academically than those with low school spirit. It's challenging to get kids excited when materials and resources are scarce. These resources will motivate my students to attend school more regularly and help them form bonds with peers. My hope is that spirit weeks and assemblies will be more exciting and engaging, making school a place they want to be instead of a place they have to be.

School spirit can help create a healthy school culture, which can promote pride in our school and help middle school students feel a sense of unity with their peers.

Engaging assemblies also improve the chances of our students engaging in social and civic matters in their communities. As a social justice school, this is our main goal.

Please help us make our school's culture more inviting, more inclusive, more energetic, and the place our students wake up to come to.
