My Students

I teach at a Title 1 middle school in Florida. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.

My students are amazing!!

They are a very diverse group of individuals and all enjoy different things. I want to bring new fitness equipment into their learning experience that will help them find a love and passion to live a healthy lifestyle.

My Project

These stationary bikes well help my students improve their fitness. These bikes will help my students who are overweight or who are recovering from injuries. They will also, help my students have more options for cardio workouts as well as help promote lifelong fitness.

According to the CDC, obesity affected about 13.7 million children and adolescents last year.

Children 12 to 19 years old made up 20.6% of that.

Also, obesity is at a higher percentage for the lower socioeconomic class. Some of my kids have never been on a stationary bike before. These stationary bikes will help them become more open minded to working out. I want fitness to be a fun journey for all of my students!
