My Project

All students are curious by nature and are always asking questions. Some of the questions that my students want answered relate to the weather. We are in an area that is threatened by tornadoes, hurricanes, and straight line winds.

Our students need to know how to respond with the appropriate actions.

The threat of this type of weather causes fear and panic to set in. At my school we have safety drills for different types of weathers, but it scares my students and they are confused about what they are actually preparing for.

I want my students to be knowledgeable about what is happening and what we need to do to stay safe.

By gaining an understanding of the storms and their cycles my students are less likely to feel as fearful when it happens again. With these iPads, my students can research tornadoes and hurricanes so they can become more knowledgeable in the weather cycles.
