Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students love to go to a separate, dedicated science lab. We would love to create that welcoming and fun space for them. Our science lab currently needs more materials and kits for small group work and investigations. Our goal is to encourage students to gain a sense of understanding of science and engineering concepts through exploration. Our school recently acquired only 4 SPIKE Essential LEGO kits through district trainings. Four kits are a great start, but are a lot ot share in a whole class setting. With only 4 kits, every group of students has to have at least 6 or more people per kit. If we are able to fund these kits, we will be able to have groups of 2-4 students per kit.

Please help our students have a wonderful experience with LEGO robotics.

These kits are highly engaging and they allow students to build with legos. Then, students use their devices to code a movement for their robotic inventions to perform. Students will LOVE it and even as a teacher I was blown away with how interesting and academic these kits can be.
