My Students
I teach at a public charter school in Camden, New Jersey. I teach 18 amazing, courageous, and intelligent 3rd graders who are learning how to return to in-person learning.
After being away for over a year, all of my kiddos are SO excited to be back.
My students love hands-on learning opportunities. My 3rd graders are eager to demonstrate the topics they've mastered and the topics that they freshly learned. It is my mission to make sure I provide them with the tools they need to do just that.
My Project
After a year and a half of virtual learning, my 3rd graders are working hard to master the basics of phonological awareness. These skills are vital to continuing their development as learners and leaders. I want to make sure that my students have all of the tools they need to be as successful as possible during this pivotal time.
As a teacher in a two-teacher classroom, it is vital for my students to have multiple means of representation that are both entertaining and effective.
By using exciting hands-on items, like pop-its and spelling games, I can make this important milestone in their educational paths as exciting and engaging as possible.
