Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are excited to be in our classroom. Majority of the students spent the last year learning remotely and reading and writing online. My students haven't had to rely on their own understanding of spelling for some time. The students need a comprehensive spelling program. I am hoping to raise some funds to buy the program they can use from Teachers Pay Teachers.

My Project

By implementing the Writer's Workshop model, my students will begin to see themselves as true authors and illustrators. One way they can be more successful is being able to read and spell basic sight words.

We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long writers.

As the teacher, I have done research on Writing and spelling in the primary grades. Our students used the computer to write. The computer spell checked everything for them. The students need to learn sight words that we as adults take for granted. I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
