My Students

Mosaic Prep is a Title 1, PreK-5th grade elementary school located in East Harlem, NY. I provide speech therapy services to a culturally diverse caseload across all grade levels. My students love coming to speech! They are so motivated to meet their individual goals and continue growing by setting new ones.

With this year's challenges, I would love to provide them with the necessary technology to support their learning and create a culturally diverse library for their access.

My Project

I am requesting Kindle Fire devices that can be used by my students to access virtual classrooms for their classwork and assigned speech therapy tasks. Our school utilizes many online learning platforms, including Myon, that require use of a device. I will be able to address their therapy goals while also providing them with the technology they need within their classrooms.

By obtaining Kindle Fire devices and a wide variety of books, my students will be able to thrive in their current academic setting and have an array of culturally inclusive materials.

I frequently include stories in my sessions, and students are excited when they can relate to the characters. This library will help take them beyond the walls of the classroom and explore not only their own culture, but the lives and experiences of others.
