My Project

EBLI (Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction) training is a transformative approach that will undoubtedly enhance my reading instruction for all learners. The speech-to-print instructional approach is poised to significantly benefit my learners by providing a seamless bridge between spoken language, reading and written expression. By immersing myself in EBLI training, I'll gain a comprehensive understanding of speech to print methodologies designed to address the specific needs of struggling readers. This method recognizes the intrinsic connection between oral and written language, allowing students to comprehend the phonological and phonemic aspects of speech and subsequently apply that knowledge to decoding and encoding written words.

By incorporating this approach into my instructional repertoire, I will be able to accelerate learning by effectively guiding learners through the essential steps of understanding how sounds correspond to letters and words, ultimately becoming successful, literate humans.

This approach not only supports the development of foundational literacy skills but also enhances overall reading and writing proficiency. Students will gain a deeper grasp of language structure, spelling patterns, and word recognition, fostering a more holistic and integrated approach to literacy.
