My Students

I am a speech-language pathologist working in district 75, New York City's special education district. I work with students between the ages of 5 and 10, the majority of which are on the autism spectrum and have varying communication abilities. Additionally, my school is a Title I school, indicating a high concentration of students from low-income families.

As a new speech pathologist, I am working to build my collection of diagnostic and therapy materials that will help me target my students' goals in engaging and effective ways.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

My Project

My students are attentive and eager to learn and have the potential to make progress towards attaining their speech and language goals given high quality, data-driven therapy.

By donating to this project, you will be fostering my students' development in communication and comprehension.

The basic art materials will facilitate numerous projects throughout the year, which will serve as visual support, motivation, and a creative outlet for the students. The toys will be used in educational, structured activities that will support the students' learning in the therapy room, as they begin to generalize the skills learned in therapy to the classroom, and to life outside of school.
