My Project

Students with special learning needs require activities targeting their specific speech and communication goals. This requires lots of hand made items from speech therapists like myself. Students also need activities and materials that interest them. When they are engaged in an activity of their interest, learning basic and complex communication skills becomes more enjoyable for them and translates to their learning and social environment.

Materials in my request include items to help me make specialized books targeting communication, engaging games for students special interests (sharks, bugs, monkeys), as well as items they can use to become more self aware and engaged including white boards and mirrors.

These supplies to support their speech therapy sessions include white boards, mirrors, a book binder for interactive books, kinetic sand, new games to support exploration and a teachers pay teachers gift card to buy materials for individual needs.
