My Students

My students range from pre-K through fifth grade. They include students with Autism, ADHD, intellectual delays, dyslexia, articulation delays and other disorders or delays that restrict them from communicating effectively. These students are in both special and general education environments.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and need help developing their speech and language skills.

Many of the students also have difficulties focusing and deserve an environment conducive to learning. Helping these students reach their potential is a priority to me. Developing their speech and language skills is essential to their success in all aspects of education.

My Project

I am requesting a comfortable desk chair. This chair will be utilized by me, as well as a reward for the students to be a "teacher for the day". This often motivates students to complete work and gives them confidence. I am also requesting ink as this will allow me to make copies in the speech room for classwork and homework. The laminator will preserve work the students are proud of. I will also be using the laminator for homemade speech materials and games. This will grant me the opportunity to use these items throughout multiple sessions year after year.
