My Project

My students in a self-contained special education school in Queens struggle to express themselves. These snacks will be incorporated into lessons where students will be taught to ask for their desired snacks. The snacks will help the students focus on the activities and help them participate in the lessons without being distracted by hunger.

Students are motivated by snacks.

They will be given the opportunity to request items and to ask peers about their desired snacks as well. When the students are happy, full, and motivated, they are able to work their hardest and focus on achieving their goals.
