My Project

I love using books in my language group activities and in one on one therapy sessions. Books can be useful in practicing speech sounds, exemplifying parts of speech and grammar. Books can also be used to develop a child’s narrative skills for improved expressive language as well as building reading comprehension skills. I often use books to explain a simple language concept in relation to a theme or time of year. We often do several projects based on that theme or story. I prefer actual books over digital or audio books.
