My Students

My students are an amazing and fun group. Despite their special education needs, they are always eager to learn and work hard on their speech and language needs.

They have been at home since mid-March of 2020 in distance learning instead of sitting in a classroom with their fellow students and teachers.

The majority of my students are from low-income families with limited resources, including technology. During this difficult and unprecedented time, my students are still eager to learn and crave opportunities to learn in creative ways. I am very proud of their resilience and hard work during this pandemic.

My Project

With the iPad and stylus pen, I will be able to motivate and engage with my students via ebooks, educational apps, uploaded worksheets, and educational videos to work on their special education needs for speech and language. I will use the iPad and pen during online learning opportunities. This will include me continuing to make speech and language support videos for my students during distance learning. I want to continue to motivate and give my students opportunities to improve their speech and langauge skills and I hope this technology will help do that.
