My Project

My students all have speech and language delays can use new ways to practice all of their phonemic awareness and reading skills. In their early years, students begin to learn the sounds and letters and start to learn how to read. As they get older, they make the connections that they are doing more than learning to read, they need to use reading to learn. Reading comprehension and sequencing games and activities can be used in many different ways.

My goal with these reading comprehension games is that my students will learn their alphabet, sounds, phonemic awareness, vocabulary and social skills.

These speech and language activities will help build their self esteem, and hopefully bridge the reading gap. Students with speech and language impairments often need hands on manipulatives and visuals to help them improve their overall reading skills. These items are engaging and fun reading activities to help boost their self esteem and reading and speech and language skills while having fun and learning. Improving students' phonemic awareness, sequencing, and language skills will make a difference in students' learning in ALL of their classes and improve their lives because reading and language is so important.
