Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first year being a Sped Ed and I loved it. The desk chair is for me since I am constantly seating down with my students while they are doing independent work. The rug sweeper is for my carpet as my students love to seat there and eat their snacks. It would be easier for me to be able to clean it right away to avoid rodents in my classroom. The magnetic manipulates is for them to be able to have visuals of letters, animals, food and blocks for them to build. Flashcards is to play memory games with them. The educational toys will be used to teach individually or in small groups. These hands-on materials support fine motor development and create a structured and nurturing space where my students will learn and grow. For math stations using the dominoes and cactus counting is to teach them their numbers and how to count. The play-dough is for them to mold letters and numbers. We have a cozy area that only have books, crayons and blankets. The paints will be used at this area or during free time since they are creative and enjoy coloring or painting. The pillows and fluorescent lights covers will be a great touch to that area. They will feel comfortable and relaxed just as if they were home.

The sand is a great help for sensory.

The students will be doing different sensory learning activities using sand. The sand beach toys will be used during the sand activities. These materials will help my team, and I teach them during station times.
