This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the art room, I try to give my students a well-rounded art experience by exposing them to all art mediums. There are a variety of sculpture experiences that I want to share with my students. Sculpture projects also support higher-level thinking and problem-solving skills.

My students need wire, paper-mache, and plaster strips to create armatures and sculptures.

Creating sculptures in the art room is one of the most engaging hands-on art experiences for students. Due to the complexity of the materials, they are too costly for a regular art supply budget. My students love creating sculpture projects and we want to keep up the momentum, but need a restock on materials.
