We are in dire need of more art books and cds in our art room. My students all have disabilities, and visuals are very important in order to help them grasp a concept. When they are exposed to actual works of art, or biographies on various artists, I notice they are able to grasp the art lesson more easily.

These children have such handicaps as; autism, downs syndrome, Asperges, cerebral palsy and several other disabilities. Many of them are visual learners, and can learn more easily with tangible books. We have a limited amount of books and resources, and could use more.

With these books and cd-Roms I am able to go beyond their handicaps and give them an enriching experience. There is nothing more heartwarming than seeing a smile when a student creates a work of art he/she is proud of. We have covered every inch of our school's walls with student's artwork.

Your generous contributions will keep the smiles on my student's faces, and help them to go forward and have a full and enriching art experience. We will be able to reach new heights and break all the handicap barriers in our art classes. We will have you to thank for giving these children a fair chance in life.
