Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have special needs classes that get snacks during the afternoon, but also are learning life skills in the process during this time. Students use "money" earned in class to purchase items at our mock store. They then have to determine if they have enough money to make the purchase and then they have to count the change and make sure it is correct. Students also run the store to develop job skills for after high school. The life skills students love learning money and job skills and get snacks!
