My Students
My students need six copies each of the books, Treasure, Stone Soup, and Stone Soup (by a different author), to learn about folktales. My students need exposure to the best texts possible to develop their knowledge through reading.
My class is made up of six special needs students, twelve minority students, and they are all at a low socioeconomic level.
They live in the inner part of a town of about 20,000. M students are especially grateful for books and value their education. They are excited about learning and love to read.
My Project
My students need six copies of each book, Treasure, Stone Soup, and Stone Soup (by a different author), to learn about folktales. These texts will provide them with literature that will broaden their understanding of the traditions, culture, and history of the world. They will understand how folktales originated and how they might be changed depending on the author. Most of all they will develop their love of learning.
These students need to have exceptional literature available to read.
School is the only place they are exposed to books, and we need the best so that they can maximize their learning. These children are amazing and treasure books. These books will broaden their literature experience and allow them to become lifelong learners.
