Special Needs Students Giving Thanks to Their Super Moms

My Project
I absolutely love the creativity, enthusiasm, and resilience that my students bring to the classroom every day. Each of them has unique abilities and challenges, and together, they create a warm, supportive environment where we celebrate each individual’s strengths. The resources I’m requesting, craft frames and planters, will allow my students to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that help build their fine motor skills, creativity, and emotional connections with their families.
The craft frames will give my students an opportunity to express their love and appreciation for their moms through personalized artwork.
As they decorate the frames, they will practice skills such as cutting, gluing, and coloring, while learning the importance of giving and creating something special for someone they care about.
The planters will allow my students to participate in gardening activities, fostering responsibility, patience, and a connection to nature. Working alongside their moms in the classroom, they can develop new skills while nurturing the plants together, creating lasting memories and a sense of accomplishment.
My goal for this project is to enhance my students’ social, emotional, and physical development while providing a meaningful experience that strengthens their bond with their moms. These activities will empower my students to express themselves creatively and build essential life skills.
