My Project

I teach K-5 Special Need students. My students amaze me everyday with how much they are learning. In my class we work on Cognitive Skills, Life Skills, and Social-Emotional Skills.

I am asking for a vacuum, dust buster, broom and dust pan, toaster, toaster oven, crock pot, place settings, placemats, cookie scoops, a dish rack, and a silverware drawer organizer.

The placemats and place settings are to work on how to set a table correctly and table manners. The silverware organizer is for my students to practice sorting silverware. Dish rack is to help put dishes to dry after my students practice washing them. It is one of the life skills we work on.

The vacuum, dust buster, and broom and dust pan are for my class to practice using. It is a life skill I need to teach them, but using the custodians is not feasible. We do weekly cooking activities in my class. Right now we only have a microwave for my class to practice with. I am asking for a toaster, toaster oven, and crockpot so that they can learn how to use those and for us to expand the recipe choices we are able to make.
