This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard working and eager to learn. They are kind, thoughtful, and creative. They come to school ready to grow personally and academically. My class is a 2nd grade Integrated Co-Teaching classroom (ICT) made up of general education students and students with disabilities.
They come from a variety of backgrounds and have diverse learning needs.
Our school is a Title 1 school. Many students come from low-income families who may not be able to provide educational support or resources at home.
This class is very special in their compassion and care for other people. They support one another academically, emotionally, and socially. They have HUGE hearts and deserve the best from everyone around them.
My Project
Have you ever tried to show something on an old device? This has been a daily struggle in our classroom. The periods are only 45 minutes long and it seems half of them get taken up with slow loading documents/lessons. I would use the computer with our promethean board to teach daily lessons in all subject areas. Having a working laptop would help my students stay engaged and focused throughout the day. We use our promethean board to display lessons and for interactive screens that help expand student perspectives in the classroom.
