Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my school, many of the students I work with have many challenges when they come to school. This includes developmental delays, challening home lives and social emotional struggles. The students are excited to learn but need additional tools to engage them and help them use tools that may be easy for some typically developed children. This includes having various sensory and calm down tools to support their emotional regulation, adapted books and worksheets that focus on their individual goals with the use of laminated sheets, fun writing tools like smelly markers and dot markers to keep them engaged in writing. With these resources, my students will not only be engaged but also excited to learn at school.
