My Project

Technological advancements impact the way we do a lot of things, including how we learn. My special education students work hard every day, and I would love to have iPads for them to earn after they have completed their work or have demonstrated excellent behavior! Whether we like it or not, classrooms are embracing the digital era, replacing blackboards with Smart Boards and books with tablets. A favorite amongst educators and students, iPads are becoming increasingly integral to school curriculums. They boost student engagement, foster better learning outcomes, and improve digital literacy skills. iPads are a valuable resource that augment the learning experience. The iPad is now an essential tool in modern teaching.

iPads can be used as reinforcers in special education classrooms to help students with a variety of needs, including:

Engagement: iPads can help students get excited and focused. Students may be more likely to respond to academic tasks when they receive immediate feedback and examples on the iPad.

Communication: iPads can be used as communication devices for children with autism.

Sense of belonging: iPads can help students feel like they belong with their peers.

Motivation: iPads can be used to motivate students to participate in class. For example, students may need to get up from their seats and point to a picture of the iPad on the wall to use it.

Academic skills: iPads can help students improve their academic skills, including tracing letters, printing their name, and learning the alphabet.
