My special education students love music! Our school is a Title One Special Education school with limited Arts funding. This includes a population of Emotionally Disturbed students, students under the Autism Spectrum, and students with Linguistic, Developmental, and Intellectual Disabilities. However, our students, ranging across all disabilities and grade levels, respond very positively to all forms of music!
With your donation, students in our special education setting would have the opportunity to create and express themselves through a variety of instruments that best suit their individual creative strengths and needs.
Once a week, we hold student "Clubs," which gives children the opportunity to explore different social, academic, and sensory adventures. Adding to our world of instruments would greatly enrich students' school journeys.
