Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in the South Bronx in New York. My students come from varied ethnic backgrounds and races, but all in the same neighborhood.

I am the IEP Coordinator of a 6th grade-12th grade school and work with our Special Education Department.

We strive in creating a Special Education Department that fully supports our students academically and socially, and we are preparing them for a future that includes college and career. With your help, we can be better prepared to support them.

My Project

Within our school the students have access to laptops on a daily basis, we as teachers do not. This is to benefit the students in learning technology and using technology within their classes.

With a large population of special education students, we hold annual meetings with all, and we need laptops to conduct these meetings.

As a school that houses 6th grade-12th grade, we could be holding multiple meetings at the same time and each teacher requires a laptop to conduct these meetings. With your generosity and support, you can make this possible for us as we support our students.
